Aristotle University of Thessaloniki

The Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTH) is the largest Greek university. The main campus is located in the city center and covers an area of ​​approximately 430,000m2, while some of its facilities, either educational or administrative, are located outside the campus or in other cities. In total, it includes 10 schools, made up of 40 departments and 1 single-department school. There are 61 Clinics (Medical, Dental, Veterinary), 295 institutionalized Laboratories and 23 Schools. The Central Library of AUTH, one of the largest in the Balkans, together with the 45 regional libraries of the Departments and Schools (17 of which are institutionalized) make up the library system of AUTH. AUTH operates 41 study programs and 92 postgraduate study programs in individual departments, as well as inter-departmental, inter-university and international ones. There are still 23 collaborations with foreign Institutions for the preparation of doctoral theses, Greek and foreign doctoral candidates with co-supervision. Currently, 73,930 students study in its Schools and Departments, of which 65,026 attend undergraduate study programs and 8,472 graduate programs (of which, 3,952 are PhD candidates). The Teaching and Research Staff (DEP) amounts to 2,024 people, the Laboratory Teaching Staff (EDP) to 287 people and the Special Educational Staff to 53. Another 134 members of the Special Technical Laboratory Staff (ETEP) assist in the educational work, while they work in the administration 245 permanent employees and 294 with a Private Law Indefinite Term (IPLA) relationship.
The Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing laboratory [perslab.topo.auth.gr] of the Department of Agronomists and Topographical Engineers of AUTH is widely known for its research activities in the fields of: photogrammetry, remote sensing, computer vision, GIS, spatial databases , 3D modeling and Laser scanners, in the fields of cultural heritage and archaeology. In the last 10 years, the laboratory has participated in more than 80 research projects in the above research areas, with a total amount of funding of approximately €6 million. The more than 70 publications of the members of the laboratory in national and international conferences and journals during the last 5 years, are an indicator of the good quality of their research activities. The laboratory has GIS and database Server Infrastructure, 10 workstations, cameras, specialized software, Laser Scanners, UAV, MMS, GNNS receivers, NAS.
At the same time, the laboratory’s human resources consist of researchers with high technical training in subjects such as data analysis, Design and development of Geographic Information Systems.

Flexice PC

Flexice PC was founded in August 2012 with the aim of developing and exploiting innovative service delivery models in real estate management.

Its activities include:

  • Provision of consulting and appraisal services as it is also registered in the Registry of Certified Appraisers of the Ministry of Finance under Registry number 78.
  • Provision, in its facilities, of flexible business housing models (Business Address, Coworking Space, etc)
  • Providing specialized training programs for real estate professionals in partnership with the American Association of Realtors and supporting the delivery of Center for REALTOR® Development certifications with an emphasis on real estate valuer training programs.
  • In addition, Flexice PC is the statutory training body of the “EPPA” Union of Real Estate Brokers and Certified Appraisers of Greece.

The activity of Flexice PC extends to the undertaking of complex real estate management projects since it is an operational support body of CRECOS. It is a Cooperative Formation for the Coordinated Management of Scattered Properties, remote from their owners (Professionals’ Cluster for Distant and Scattered Site Property Management).
